Over onze klant

Our client is a an owned subsidiary of a stock exchange-listed company investing in retail properties across Spain, Portugal, and France. The group focuses on direct property investments with attractive yields and strong long-term growth potential. With offices in Amsterdam and Malta, this role will be based at the group's primary operational office in Amsterdam. The group follows an outsource model for local property management, accounting, reporting, and tax in Spain, Portugal, and France.

Functie

  • Manage treasury operations, including budgeting, forecasting, debt modelling, refinancing, and covenant compliance.
  • Responsible for management accounting, including group consolidation, and assist with financial reporting for 28 entities in compliance with IFRS.
  • Ensure tax compliance (including VAT and transfer pricing), and support audit requirements and statutory reporting, across multiple jurisdictions (Malta, Netherlands, Spain, Portugal, France, and the United Kingdom).
  • Provide financial analysis and strategic insights to the board and investment committee, supporting acquisitions and other business development initiatives.
  • Supervise the core finance function and liaise with external advisors, banks, and auditors across Europe.
  • Corporate accounting.
  • Drive efficiency, consistency, and accuracy in financial processes, reporting, and controls.
  • Collaboration with other finance functions, as well as operational departments.

Profiel

The Group Finance Manager will serve as the lead for treasury, management accounting, tax, and compliance, reporting directly to and supporting the Chief Financial Officer. The ideal candidate combines independence with collaboration: confident in sharing their views while adaptable to align with the organisation's objectives.

The ideal candidate needs to have below competencies;

  • Confident, pro-active, team player, strong social competence, highly organised with a "can-do" attitude and demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., CA, ACCA, etc.) with strong technical knowledge of IFRS.
  • Relevant professional working experience, including articles with a Big Four firm; experience in the real estate sector is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in treasury, consolidation, and multi-jurisdictional financial reporting.
  • Strong skills in financial modelling, and strategic financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-border teams and external advisors.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Very strong Microsoft Excel skills and good knowledge of accounting and financial systems.
