Functie

As a member of the Sales team, a FX Sales Account Manager is responsible for the management of the sales relationships with existing client accounts as well as prospecting new clients and accounts. The role holder serves as the interface between Clients and the Dealing team and works closely with Compliance and Risk to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Actively involved in all aspects of the 360 sales cycle
  • Prospecting & lead generation (sourcing & pitching)
  • Planning sales calls, meetings, post-call follow ups
  • Presentations & documentation
  • Owning/ implementing sales
  • Post sales follow-Up, repeat sales & upselling
  • Developing & maintaining strong client relationships (via Dealing team where appropriate)
  • Working effectively and collaboratively with Financial Crime and Regulatory Compliance teams to complete the client onboarding process in line with company and regulatory requirements
  • Ensuring adequate knowledge of their client (KYC) to enable the firm to deliver appropriate and suitable products and services
  • Liaise with Risk and Dealing re. credit facilities
  • Engaging with the client with integrity, ensuring high service standards and in accordance with company policies Understand and adhere to complaints procedure and escalating where necessary
  • Identify and appropriately manage conflicts of interest in accordance with regulatory and company requirements
  • Ensure that the role as first line defence is undertaken with diligence

Profiel

  • 1-2 years of experience in new business sales, preferably in the financial realm
  • Experience of working within in a regulated financial services firm is highly desirable
  • Educational background; ideally Economics or Finance. Masters is an add on
  • Fluency in at least the English language, but another European Language is very beneficial; French, Italian, Spanish, German, Scandinavian or an Eastern European Language is perfect.
  • Ability to clearly articulate full understanding of end to end sales processes
  • Ability to demonstrate strong sales techniques (Persuasive, Negotiation & Closing skills)
  • Good knowledge of FX products
  • Excellent all-round communication skills
  • Assertiveness with the ability to influence others in a constructive way
  • Ability to demonstrate credibility in relation to company and product knowledge when dealing with clients and colleagues
  • Strong judgement and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivation & focus on results
