About Our Client
Our client is a global leader in the production of applications for the Healthcare sector. To strengthen their team, they look for a Functional Safety Engineer in Belgium.
Job Description
* Reports directly to the Corporate EHS Director for EMEAA
* Implementation of Functional Safety Management System (FSMS) accross EMEA Countries
* Realisation of audits and ensure the compliance of FSMS
* Risks & accident analysis in an industrial environment (Seveso, Atex,…)
* Define root cause analysis and put in place improvement plans
* Ensure annual reviews and maintenance of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
* Initiate and manage improvement plans (CAPA) with local teams
* Manage of Suppliers and relations with notified bodies, authorities, and service providers
* Teach, train, coach, and mentor site and maintenance team
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor or Master Diploma in Engineering
- Certification in Functional Safety is a strong asset
- Proficient in performing Risk Assessments and Process Hazard Analyses (PHA)
- Fluent in English (French or Dutch is a plus)
- Experience in an industrial environment
- Analytic skills and good communication skills
