You will be responsible for the financial of a selection of hotel portfolios in the Netherlands and Germany. The reporting of the hotel operations is outsourced to hotel managers.

Our client is a publicly listed real estate company active in the Netherlands since 2015.

Their European headquarters are based in Amsterdam, where they manage real estate assets (hotels, offices, apartment buildings), spread across Europe but mainly in the Netherlands, with a value of almost 1 billion euros.

Job Description

* Prepare monthly accounting and reporting for multiple Group entities in the Netherlands under Dutch GAAP & IFRS.

* Prepare required year-end reporting and financial statements for both large and smaller entities.

* Review financial reports from hotel managers.

* Prepare IFRS consolidation reports for various entities.

* Review financial statements and corporate tax returns for German entities.

* Manage audit processes, act as the key contact for auditors and hotel managers.

* Ensure tax compliance, including CIT and VAT reporting.

* Coordinate corporate tax returns in collaboration with the tax advisor.

* Manage reporting on fixed assets (local GAAP, IFRS, and tax).

* Prepare Value in Use calculations together with the hotel asset manager as part of the year-end process.

* Translate legal contracts into financial consequences and risks for the entities.

* Draft and prepare corporate board and shareholder resolutions.

The Successful Applicant

Required Skills and Experience:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

* Experience as a Finance Manager or in a comparable role.

* Strong knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP, with experience in preparing financial statements for large companies.

* Experience managing external audits and providing feedback or coaching to employees.

* Knowledge of CIT, interest deduction, VAT, Real Estate Transfer Tax, Ground Lease, and Investment Allowances (EIA/MIA).

* Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

* Self-starter and team player who thrives in a small team environment.

* Experience in real estate and/or hotel finance is highly preferred.

* Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with database-driven reporting.

* Professional fluency in Dutch and English (written and spoken).

* Preference for candidates residing in the Amsterdam area.
