Job Description

As Financial Controller you will realize the ambitious financial targets for our Rotterdam location. You will identify and lead improvement opportunities, perform analysis of actual results versus forecasts in close collaboration with local stakeholders. You will identify hidden opportunities and risks for Rotterdam and other locations. In addition, you will play a crucial role in resource allocation, advising stakeholders on the financial performance of their departments, expenditures and relevant business KPIs. You will perform ad-hoc analyses, scenarios and benchmarking as required and contribute to cost control initiatives.

In addition, you will:

  • Providing strategic insights and analysis to support management in making decisions aligned with our organizational goals and objectives.
  • Managing the annual budget process, in close collaboration with various departments.
  • Leading and coordinating financial projects with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Preparing and presenting your findings on a regular basis.
  • Be responsible for accounting and financial reporting within compliance guidelines (IFRS)
  • You will be part of our local finance team and report to the Site Controller Rotterdam.

The Successful Applicant

As a Financial, you have gained at least 3 years of relevant work experience within Finance and are ready for the next step. You see this function as part of your further development. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following points:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related field.
  • Excellent knowledge of SAP, Business Warehouse and Excel, Power BI is a plus.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proven knowledge of management control cycles, cost tools, etc.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, both spoken and written.
