A funding vehicle for its parent company - The company raises funds by issuing bonds and commercial paper in the international capital markets.

Job Description



You will be working in a small international team, reporting directly to the Head of Accounting.

As General Ledger Accountant, you will be responsible for the monthly closing procedure for one or two entities within the IFRS group reporting.

  • Reconcile the automatic treasury postings (majority of journal entries)
  • Operate subledgers on a daily basis (minority of journal entries):
  • Subledger Bank: daily bank reconciliation & basic cash management
  • Subledger Accounts Payable: processing of creditor invoices and payments
  • Subledger Assets: record changes in participation values
  • Provide supporting documentation to external auditor
  • Support the preparation of annual and bi-annual financial statements for statutory reporting

The Successful Applicant

We are looking for a pro-active and ambitious candidate:

  • You have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration with major Accounting
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in an Accounting department
  • You understand very well the basic accounting principles, accounting concepts and accounting terminology
  • You are very well experienced with SAP FI
  • You learn fast and can quickly adopt to new digital environments/applications
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken (Dutch or German is a plus)
  • Ideally you are familiar with the concept of multiple ledger (Dutch GAAP and IFRS)
  • Ideally you have experience with financial instruments and derivatives
  • You have excellent skills in Excel
