Job Description

Are you our Finance Manager or Controller with a sharp eye for numbers and the ambition to build a future-focused financial foundation? In this role, you will contribute strategically to the financial direction of a dynamic organization, working closely with the CEO and leading the finance team with a hands-on, coaching approach.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: Ensure accurate monthly financial reporting and provide detailed analyses of the results, balance sheet, cash flow, and profit and loss statement.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets and financial forecasts to safeguard the organization's financial health.
  • Compliance and Audits: Lead and coordinate external audits, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and improve internal control processes.
  • Tax Management and Grants: Handle national and international tax matters, including VAT filings, and identify potential grants for the organization.
  • Facilities and Contract Management: Support the facilities team and manage supplier contracts, including conducting financial impact analyses to aid strategic decision-making.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead the finance team, including coaching the (Junior) Controller, and contribute to the team's professional growth and quality.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in a similar financial role;
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills, with expertise in financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting;
  • Provides clear, data-driven advice to senior management and acts as the main financial point of contact;
  • Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and coaching a finance team;
  • Hands-on and supportive work style, with a focus on team growth and the quality of reporting;
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance and tax issues and a proactive approach to process optimization;
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across different organizational levels;
  • Experience in contract management and in analyzing financial impact for strategic decisions;
  • Structured and detail-oriented, with an independent, driven work approach focused on long-term objectives.
