We are looking to expand our client Business Control team with a Data Engineer who can turn data into insights that drive financial performance. This role is perfect for technically skilled data professionals interested in finance, business performance, and trading.

Functie

  • Partner with business controllers to automate and enhance key financial and operational processes within Business Control.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to design and build robust data models and actionable insights that drive business value.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques such as time-series analysis, statistical modeling, simulations, and optimization to solve complex business challenges.
  • Continuously assess and improve existing models, tools, and methodologies to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Present insights and recommendations in a clear and compelling way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Champion a data-driven mindset by fostering innovation and continuous learning across the organization.



Profiel

You are an experienced and driven Data Engineer with a strong technical foundation and a passion for applying data to real-world business challenges. You bring:

  • Proven proficiency in Python, SQL, and VBA, with hands-on experience in building analytical solutions.
  • Experience working with big data platforms such as Azure and Databricks is a strong plus.
  • A solid background in statistical analysis and machine learning, with practical experience in time-series analysis and/or financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau to effectively communicate insights.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a production-level data environment, ideally within Finance, Trading, or Supply Chain domains.
  • A strong academic background in Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex findings into actionable business insights.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and genuine interest in the trading industry.
