As Commercial Manager you will take the lead in the further expansion into the DACH region. With a solid footprint in recycling (PET) plastics and with a strong sustainable approach, you will be responsible to manage the sales of production and the purchasing of plastic waste in Benelux, Germany and the UK.

Our partner is a leading platform in the recycling and recovery of plastic waste (mainly LDPE) on a European level with a turnover of 80M€ aiming to increase to 180 M€ within 4 years. The shareholder is a leading global venture capital fund specialized in the circular economy and with an equity base of $5 BN.

Functie

As Commercial Manager it is your mission to increase the Group's profitability by building strategies to position the Group in the most profitable segments, to give visibility to our business through the development of partnerships with strategic customers and suppliers.

  • Defining and implementing the commercial strategy for Repeats in Northern Europe
  • Managing accounts in Benelux, Germany & the UK
  • Analyzing customers'/suppliers' needs and profitability
  • Forecasting rolling 3-months activity (S&OP)

Profiel

This position is open to professionals with at least ten (7) years of professional experience, imperatively in plastic supply and sales management functions, in a plastic waste management group, polymer trading company, plastic recycling business, plastic packaging manufacturer or petrochemical company producing polyethylene.

  • Negotiation skills (convincing customers to buy your products or suppliers to work with us)
  • Project management (goals, targets, costs, budgets, deadlines, and teams working to complete it)
  • Business acumen (the role requires an understanding of the business - both your own and your customer's)
  • Team management
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills (should be able to foresee and identify any problems that a project may encounter)
  • Flexibility and time management
  • Ability to travel
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken German & English. The Dutch language could be a plus. Knowledge of further languages of the European Union would be benificial.
