Our client is a key player in the European logistics sector, operating a high-capacity container terminal in one of the continent's busiest maritime trade hubs. Their operations run around the clock and support transport solutions, connecting cargo seamlessly via road, rail, and inland waterways. Beyond container handling, they provide a range of value-driven services such as depot operations, efficient truck flow coordination, and digital visibility for cargo movements.

Functie

As a Business Application Consultant, you'll be the vital link between IT and business operations. You'll oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the digital application ecosystem supporting day-to-day terminal functions. From ensuring robust and secure systems to driving innovation through new tools and integrations, your role directly supports operational efficiency and future growth. You'll be involved from concept to delivery-collaborating with internal stakeholders (management, product owners, end users) and external parties (vendors, tech partners, and supply chain actors)-to develop smart, scalable solutions tailored to the realities of port logistics.

Profiel

You bring:

  • A completed degree in IT or a related field (Bachelor's or Master's level - HBO/WO)
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in application development or management
  • The ability to translate business needs into technical solutions with clarity and practicality
  • A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit to engage various stakeholders
