Job Description

  • The set-up of the sales strategy for the area, together with his/her manager
  • Regular monitoring and development of existing customers
  • Resolution of business issues in conjunction with the Sales Assistant linked to the geographic area (claims, litigation)
  • Commercial prospecting; and link to the design office with the customer
  • With the Sales Department, establishing his/her sales objectives each year
  • Participating in the exhibitions in which the company takes part, ensuring the representation of the company during these events (about 10 days per year) and collecting all information and opportunities identified through written feedback
  • With the Sales Department and his/her colleagues, participating in the marketing and advertising actions of the company
  • Monitoring and evaluating competition
  • Suggesting product developments and new products corresponding to customer expectations
  • Involving, if required in the strategy approach, the engineer in customer technical discussions
  • Regular reporting to the Sales Department in the system formats chosen by the company
  • Participating in the review of non-compliance, identification, implementation and follow-up of actions

The Successful Applicant

  • HBO or equivalent education/experience
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similair role
  • Industrial or mechanical background with technical skills or curiosity
  • Ability to negotiate with sourcing departments and participate in technical development with Design Offices
  • Ability to address multiple industry sectors, large and small businesses
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM)
  • Autonomous and proactive
  • Native Dutch and operational English (French & German are a bonus)
  • Technical curiosity (ability to read a design, understand a 3D file)
  • Agile (finding solutions) and analytical
  • Has an export culture
