For our client, a FMCG company with a portfolio consisting of beverage brands, we are currently looking for an area marketing manager for the Netherlands.

As the Area Marketing Manager you will be responsible for building, outlining and aligning the local brand strategies with the rest of the Benelux. You will co-create and implement the local marketing plans into efficient and effective execution to win consumer's and maintain long-term growth of the brands while achieving the local annual set targets. In this role you will report directly to the Marketing Director Netherlands.
Your responsibilities include:
- Development of short and mid-term brand strategy for the brands while keeping in mind longer-term sustainability and profitable growth
- Providing strategic recommendations for the development and management of the brands (brand & trade marketing, BTL, assortment & pricing)
- Identify future consumers & portfolio needs and turn this into real business opportunities
- Leading full marketing & trade marketing projects as a business owner; activation, trade marketing & innovation
- Being the single point of contact for the NL marketing business
- Providing the international team with analysis of the local consumer, brand and trade development
- Initiating and implementing recommendations in line with the sales & brand objectives in On and Off trade and ensure optimization in a pragmatic way
- Providing the partners (OOH & Retail) with right strategies and tools to help achieve their goals and make sure it's all in line with the brand strategy
- Optimizing strategies, way of working and use best practices, marketing materials and products in order to maximize possible synergies
- New Product development: initiating and leading the internal processes from consumer insight to market execution
- Giving direction and recommendation for the right set up of the budget
Profiel
The ideal candidate has:
- A relevant university degree (mandatory!); Marketing, Business administration or other relevant degree
- Excellent written and verbal skills in Dutch (mandatory!) and English
- Good understanding of French language is a plus
- Strong background in FMCG; relevant experience as brand or trade marketing Manager is a must; preferably experience with food/Beverage
- Strong analytical skills
- Good P&L understanding
- Entrepreneurial and ambitious mind-set
- The ability to form a strong power-duo with the Sales manager - NL
- The ability to improve the consumer´s KPIs (awareness, consideration, penetration of the market) while managing the budget as an entrepreneur
- The ability to work autonomous and under pressure while being a team player
- A flexible, proactive and ambitious personality
- Persuasive interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to frequently travel to the Belgium office: 2 to 4 days a month
