Job Description

a. Embedding compliance with laws, regulations, business principles and rules of conduct in every aspect of the organisation (e.g. governance, strategy, people, processes, policies, culture, communication);

b. Establishing and maintaining effective compliance and integrity risk management and control systems, including identification of compliance/integrity risks, monitoring and reporting;

c. Providing timely advice to the organization on relevant changes in the regulatory environment and the impact on its operations;

d. Promoting and stimulating a culture of integrity, its businesses and employees, including creating awareness regarding compliance with internal policies and standards.Providing practical advice regarding fraud, ABC and/or sanctions matters to the business

· Contributing to risk assessments by helping to identify fraud, bribery and corruption and sanctions risks and mitigating measures

· Assessing potential bribery & corruption and sanctions risks that may come up in the Know Your Customer (KYC) process

· Helping raise awareness and conducting training on ABC, fraud and sanctions matters

· Helping to develop and update training materials relating to ABC, fraud and sanctions

· Further developing ABC and sanctions program and ensuring that policies are up-to-date

· Monitoring developments in the area of fraud, ABC and sanctions

· Ensuring that country risk list is up-to-date

· Advising on objectionable practices clauses in contracts

The Successful Applicant

· Master's degree preferably in the area of business administration, finance, (international) economics or law

· At least 5 years of work experience (preferably in the financial sector) in the field of compliance specifically ABC/fraud and sanctions matters or a strong affinity with any of these areas

· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in an international work environment

· Highly proficient in spoken and written English

· Good analytical skills and ability to draft clear and concise reports

· Strong sense of personal integrity

· Highly motivated, proactive and solutions oriented

· Ability to prioritize and manage time

· Capable of working independently and under time pressure with a drive to deliver high quality results

· Ability to interface with all levels of management and staff

· Experienced and skilled in conducting in person presentations and trainings
