Our client, part of international company, is specialized in the Inspection, Weighing, Sampling and Analysis of Metals, Minerals and Ores, Precious Metals, Solid Fuels, Recycling and Scrap materials. The total company exists of a global network of over 70 offices and 30 laboratories based at the most strategically important locations for shipping, transportation, trade and industry around the world. Group Head Quarters are located in England. The Rotterdam operation is the centre of excellence for Solid Fuels, Iron Ore and Ferro Alloy materials. This operation has a large team of experienced inspectors and surveying staff who undertake physical inspection & sampling operations in Benelux, European and world wide locations.. This main site has a large laboratory which is in the process of upgrading to undertake specialized analytical testing. The company is one of the foremost umpire laboratories in the world.
This is a truly unique international sales position servicing a large number of internationally based customers. World-wide travel is pre-requisite for the role.
Omschrijving
- The Commercial Manager is responsible for all the commercial activities, organization and all other aspects of the business environment for The Benelux and its international business related to the site
- Key position within Senior Management Team with reporting lines to the General Manager (direct) and senior group commercial managers (indirect)
- Is responsible for achieving sales results and driving innovative sales developments in partnership with the GM and local MT. On international level with other commercial functions in the group
- Managing the company's key accounts and create business growth within (existing) markets served. Establish excellent cooperation with the commercial team members in the group and local entities
- Organizes and attends trade shows, conferences, exhibitions and other marketing & sales events
- Create and supervise the Marketing & Sales plan with targets, general workflow, professional customer service, performance and the day-to-day operation of the M&S activities
- Traveling is essential (around 50% of the time) in the assigned market and customer base
Gezocht profiel
- A higher technical or commercial education degree or equivalent
Five or more years of successful sales management experience with passion for continuous growth and new business development in technical industries
- Results oriented with excellent negotiation skills and customer contacts & focused
- Commercial experience, specifically with metals, minerals and ores, precious metals or solid fuels is seen as a great advantage. Familiarity with service industry is seen as an advantage
- Impeccable customer service focus ethos. Positive, pro-active attitude with helicopter view
- Credibility to establish contacts and relationships at senior management / director level as well as field management level
- Strong technical background to help deliver technical sales
- Good analytical, pragmatic and decision-making skills
- Language Skills: Dutch native speaker (essential). English (fluent), German & French (advantageous)
