There are four legal entities present in Almere; LG Electronics European Shared Service Center B.V. (LGESC), LG Electronics European Logistics & Services B.V. (LGELS), LG Electronics JIT Europe B.V. (LGEJE) and LG Communication Network Solutions Europe B.V. (LGCNS).

Subsidiary

LG Electronics European Shared Service Center B.V. (LGESC) is located in Almere, and has around 70 employees. LGESC is constantly moving and professionalizing, and it provides services to 14 European Marketing & Sales Subsidiaries, in the following areas: Tax, Legal, Treasury, Insurances, Accounting and Standards.

Department

European Standard Center (ESC) is one of the departments within LGESC in Almere. It is responsible for the day-to-day operations with regards to compliance assurance for EU energy and environmental regulations and product standards.

Main focus areas

The Senior Energy Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance of all LG household appliances (white goods) to energy efficiency regulations and standards in EU and for improving consumer magazine evaluation results concerning LG household appliances.

Omschrijving
- Update Headquarter and factories on EU regulations and standards relating to household appliance energy efficiency and other performance criteria (under the Energy Using Product Directive and the Energy Labeling Directive)
- Liaise with the third party test labs in EU for LGE household appliance testing arrangement and testing standard interpretation
- Provide compliance guides and handle market surveillance for LGE household appliances in co-operation with relevant factories and subsidiaries;
- Participate in industry/standardization body discussions on energy efficiency regulations and standards and represent LGE's view;
- Build human relationship with consumer magazines and related testing labs through regular communication/visit
- Provide advice to factories for consumer magazine award (e.g. top performance ranking, best buy awards, etc)-related strategy

Gezocht profiel
Technical skills

- Engineering background and university degree in technical studies on
household appliances (especially refrigerators) and their performance & energy testing;
- Extensive knowledge on technical features of household appliances, design principles, energy and performance testing, and relevant standards development at CEN/CENELEC (European Standardization bodies);
- Familiarity with the EU regulatory/legislative process and ability to understand the legal/technical texts and prepare compliance guides based on them;
- Special interest or experience in energy compliance assurance and
consumer magazine product evaluations

- Fluent in English both verbal and written communication;
- Strong presentation skills and good networking capability;
- Commitment to quality of work and personal integrity;
- 4-5 years of work experience in relevant industry is required.
