To support the Legal Department in Vianen we are currently recruiting a Legal Counsel. Reporting to the Chief Legal Counsel (based in Vianen), you will be a valued and integral member of the Department & support Schneider Electric's operations in the Benelux region. For this broad role we are looking for an eager generalist with a hands on mentality. You will be a key business partner and work on a broad range of commercial and corporate matters. Schneider Electric offers an exciting opportunity for an energetic Legal Counsel to join its highly regarded Global Legal Department.

Omschrijving
Provide legal support to the business
Negotiate, draft and review a wide range of commercial and corporate contracts, many of which will contain international elements (e.g. partner, customer & supplier agreements; tender reviews; local corporate governance & reorganizations; employment law support; claims & litigation management; compliance)
Able to identify critical business issues and apply legal expertise to deliver solutions
Anticipate and support managing the (legal) risks connected with and/or resulting from the relevant business unit's business strategy and operations
Create and maintain awareness with business employees of (compliance with) relevant laws and regulations
Instruct and support external counsels

Gezocht profiel
Master degree in Dutch law
About two to four years experience gained as an in-house legal counsel in a similar international business environment (Construction, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Oil & Energy, or Renewables & Environment) or in a law firm
Extensive knowledge of contract and business law
Commercially minded, highly organized and able to work effectively in teams
Confident and flexible problem solver
Excellent social and communication skills in Dutch and English, both written and verbal. A good command of French and/or German would be a definite advantage
