Jiffy Products International BV is part of the international Jiffy group of companies specializing in the development and production of plant propagation systems and quality substrates for the professional horticultural industry. The Jiffy-7 pellet, Jiffypot and Preforma Plant Plugs are some of the well known propagation systems offered worldwide. High quality substrates are supplied through the Tref Group, a division of Jiffy International AS since April 2008, based in the Netherlands. The joint forces of Jiffy and Tref have resulted into a leading position in the global horticultural industry.
The production sites and peat bogs are located worldwide. The head quarter of Tref is located in Moerdijk (The Netherlands), also the main port for the supply of raw materials from overseas.
From 1 January 2010 the activities of Jiffy and Tref in the professional horticultural industry will be combined in a new Professional Grower Division and will be separated from the retail business activities in which the Jiffy Group is also active.
The sales activities of the Professional Grower Division (turnover of approx. 65 million euro) can be divided in 3 main area's; Benelux, Europe and the Rest of the World. The Sales Department Europe (in total approx. 18 sales representatives) is responsible for all sales activities in Europe and surrounding countries, with a strong focus on the following countries: France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, UK, Germany, Nordic (Norway, Sweden, Denmark), the Baltic States and Eastern Europe.
Besides the management of this sales team the Sales Manager Europe will also be (overall) responsible for contacts and agreements with distributors and agents.

Omschrijving
- Responsible for all sales and marketing activities in Europe and realization of targets related to revenue and profit as defined in the strategic business plan
- Translation of the strategic business plan in marketing- and sales plans/budgets for each region, in collaboration with the specific Sales Representative.
- Manage targeted accounts, tracking systems, calendars and monthly sales forecasts with the objective to increase sales, gross and net profit.
- Managing the sales department for the region Europe, with colleague's all over Europe (France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, United Kingdom, Eastern Europe, Norway, Baltic States, Russia and the German speaking countries).
- Assisting and coaching the Area Sales Representatives with Key Account Management; Is expected to spend a significant portion of time in the field both with individual accounts and co-travelling with sales personnel.
- Controlling the overall process, creating an helicopter view and focus.
- Providing management information (sales reports, statistics, etc.) to the Director of Sales
- Maintaining awareness of customer needs and new developments through regular interactions with growers, distributors, agents, attendance at local trade shows, association meetings.

Gezocht profiel
- Bachelor degree, preferable in agriculture or horticulture.
- At least 5 years experience in sales/export management positions, business to business.
- Relevant network in the horticultural and agricultural industry.
- Motivated, pro-active, sales driven, easy in adapting, broad-minded, creative, hands on, independent and responsible.
- Analytical, customer-oriented, a good communicator, able to create a helicopter view and strong in negotiations.
- Willing to travel at least 30 to 40% of the time.
- Fluent in English and German (spoken and written); preferable French
