In this role you will be responsible for the planning, directing, coordinating, and overall management of regional (EU) finance function. This includes activities in finance, cost accounting, accounts payable and account receivable activities for the Dutch operations in the Botlek, but also the European holding companies. This to ensure accurate, sufficient, and timely financial reporting to meet the needs of all internal departments, Tronox Corporate, external auditors, and external regulatory organizations as required.
You will work closely with both the TiO2 Segment team based in Oklahoma City, and the Global Finance team based in Stamford, to ensure processes and activities are aligned with the global organization. Also you will be member of the Site Leadership Team, and you will have an active role in developing and executing Site Objectives. Furthermore, you will be responsible for change management within the region's Finance division, which continuously improves business performance, organizational systems, and relationships within other departments. Lastly you will be responsible for ensuring a strong internal control environment and ensure timely coordination of SOx control reviews. Next to that you will be responsible for overall management of the Finance department.
The Successful Applicant
-Minimum a Bachelor's degree within Business Economics or Accounting, an additional postgraduate degree (RA/RC/HOFAM) is a definite plus.
-At least 8-10 years of working experience in a (senior) management position
-Experience within a chemical or manufacturing company, a background in accountancy is an advantage
-Extensive experience with cost accounting
-In-depth understanding of US GAAP, IFRS and SOx
-Experience in overseeing Performance Management Processes, staff turnover management and absence and succession planning responsibilities;
-Fluent in Dutch and English (in writing and verbal)
